Bruce and Joe sat down with Journey Bible Church for an interactive dialogue on Worship Wagon, where it started, and the impact the weekly church service has on the homeless community in downtown Kansas City.
In the spring of 2016, we got a call from a reporter from Christian Broadcast News channel (CBN News), and they wanted to do a special report on the Worship Wagon. Bruce and I happily accepted their request and invited Charlene Aaron to come out and see the bridge where we hold services. She interviewed a few of us and put together a great video story on our ministry. Click on the link here to see the full story … CBN News Special Report on the Worship Wagon.
In December of 2020, Tom Greenwald (from Community Covenant Church) asked Bruce and Joe to sit down for a discussion on the history, purpose, and vision for the Worship Wagon ministry. The discussion was recorded as a zoom video session and podcast, and covers several elements of what makes Worship Wagon so important to both the homeless community as well as suburbanites in the greater Kansas City area.
Bill Wilting was our very first ever music leader who sang for us on the inaugural service in November of 2014. He served for many years with us until he went home to be with Jesus. We miss him dearly.
Steve has his own style of freelance music that we love to hear. He’s creative with his craft, often times mixing melodies from songs you know with words from other songs you might not expect. He also likes to incorporate bluesy harmonica with his guitar riffs, and the result is truly engaging.
Bruce often shares that his favorite worship music leader of all time is Linda, who also happens to be his lovely bride.
Tom on guitar is was one of our longest standing volunteers, faithfully serving for several years with us until he moved to Chicago.
Brandon from Journey Bible Church gave us a wonderful rendition of Amazing Grace.
